    Gary & Paula,

So very sorry for your loss. God Bless – Gary met you Saturday at the Abraham Lincoln Tomb on Saturday. Just was looking at the site and Bradley's pictures and his story. Was very moving to us when you told us the story of those Vietnam Veterans that visited you and your wife after Bradley's passing, and then telling us the story of what happened and his life and wife and granddaughter.

    Best Regards

Always a great race…well organized.  I think it is time to advance to chip timing and retire the old man and the clipboard, need more accuracy.

    Also need mile markers

Consider adding a 1 mile fun run for stollers and dogs…creates unsafe trail trying to navigate around walkers, etc,…at least place stoller and wlaker to the rear of start line

  3. Karin Moore says:

I saw the signs around Shiloh, and looked up Brad online.  Quite a story, my heart goes out to the family.  I hope to participate in the next 5K (if you have walkers also), I'm still drilling with my Reserve unit this upcoming event.  Brad sounds like a remarkable young man.

  7. Steve says:

Looking forward to running another race in memory of a great man who I had the privledge to teach (in Royal Ambassadors and as a Sunday School sub).

I am not in good shape and have just started running again… so every 100 yards will be painful.  It is good to suffer.  Without suffering there is no gain.

  24. Chris Lafferty says:

I'm very much looking forward to coming down for the race again this year. I live in Chicago and my brother, a JTAC, was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY and we both agreed to meet up for the run, last year. I was honored to witness Brad's Silver Star ceremony and to contribute to his scholarship. Everything I've read about and heard of Brad is both humbling and inspiring. I am proud to play a small part in keeping his legacy alive. Good luck to everyone running on Saturday. I am grateful for the opportunity to be there.

We grieve with you and hope to see you again sometime. May God bless you with His grace & peace. Love, Mary Lou Bowler

  26. Helen Dobereiner-Durbin says:

Today I met Brad's father at the House of Representatives.  I heard them read the death resolution and heard of Brad's bravery.  I didn't know him before he passed but sounds like an amazing man.  I was there for Brad's reading because there was also a reading for my brother.

From one gold star family member to another, thank you for all that you did do and will do.

  27. Rubi Galarza says:

My most sincere condolences for his family.
